My Florida mortgage is with Country wide it is $1928.00 per month , i really don't want to lose the house since this is my home, but i can not meet the full mortgage payment and i have been pleading with them to try to reduce the interest rate of 6.25

Hi Carmen,
I want your advice on what you think we should do about our current mortgage situation. We purchased a home in 2007 when we were making an average of $200k/year. We now have a $576k mortgage to show for it. Unfortunately, I am in real estate, and my income has substantially decreased. Now our household for 2008 averaged just barely over $100k. We have other bills to go along with our $4k "interest only" mortgage. Now, we're having to dip into our savings acct every month to pay our mortgage. We are currently in our early 30's and wondering if we should continue with our home and hope that we can make more money in the near future, or if we should just sell it and get something a lot more affordable. Real estate goes up and down as we all know and I don't think I should depend on a set amount on a yearly basis, just to pay the bills. Wouldn't you agree with that? Not including utilities and food, our other bills total approx $1500. Any feedback is appreciated!
Carmen what's the best way to get a loan if you have recently tried twice, and have heard, your not long termed experienced. I know i lose points on my credit, but im trying to get my credit in the 800's to go for a house. Your very helpful.
Love your program, could you comment on (Simple Annuity Plans) are they right for older people, like mid 70's. You don't hear much about them. Don
My question is I paid off all my credit cards thru Careone that were in coolections.I then lived in New York. But I have since moved to Canton,GA where it is more affordable to get apartment.. Now I got from Comcast Cable, Georgia Power,Infinity Gas Company, all said that I have good credit standing. Have do I get a new credit card if I`m being told that I have good credit, but only six(6)months ago I paid off credit cards that were in collections, plus I paid off a car lien...
When is a good time to get a new or used car loan, and get a new credit card
I`m disabled.. And one credit card I don`t want in my wallet is Capital One..
Can you help me..Please reply, and I thank you for your time, Dave Hackford
Hi Carmen,
My husband and I purchased a house in Michigan 3 years ago. We paid 340,000 with zero down. The house is now valued at 270,000. My husband is 57 and I am 49. We are thinking this is a sinking financial ship. We are not sure what to do. Any advice.
Milly
Dear Carmen,
I recently rolled over my 403b into an IRA at my bank. My bank investment person has recommended I use a bond fund there as a way to earn more interest. I am told that a bond fund can lose principal.
What do you suggest about getting into a bond fund at this time in our economy?
